12-Year-Old Winconsin Girls Comspire To Murder For The “Slender Man”

Two 12-year-old girls from Wisconsin stabbed their friend 19 times to appease the “Slender Man.” Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier, both 12 years old, got obsessed over a horror-story website called, CreepyPasta Wiki to a point where they conspired to kill their classmate at the Horning Middle School in Waukesha. The murderous duo got fixated over a fictional character called as Slender Man, a paranormal entity with the ability to grow tendrils from his back and his fingers. In order to gain favor from the Slender Man, they tried to kill their victim, luring her to the woods and stabbing her mercilessly.

According to first-degree international homicide charges filed yesterday, the incident happened the morning after a sleepover at Geyser’s house. They went to a public park with their eventual victim whose name is withheld for legal reasons. Initially, the girls planned to have their victim stabbed in a public bathroom so the victim’s blood will swirl down a drain, covering evidence but instead, walked her to the woods. The Journal-Sentinel gives an account of the incident:

Weier then suggested they go for a walk, pointing out a wooded area near Rivera Drive and Big Bend Road. They could play hide and seek, distract the victim, then kill her. … Weier told the victim where to hide and told her to lie facedown in the dirt. The girl refused… [and] began to yell and complain that she couldn’t breathe. … Geyser gave Weier the knife, but Weier said she told Geyser she was too squeamish and gave it back. … Weier said she started walking away from Geyser and then told her, “Go ballistic, go crazy.” Geyser said she would go ballistic, and Weier said, “Now.” …Weier said Geyser then tackled the victim and started stabbing her. The victim was screaming. Weier said when Geyser got off the victim, the victim screamed, “I hate you. I trusted you.”

During police questioning, Weier told police that a part of her wanted their victim to die and another part of “wanted her to live.” On the other hand, Geyser reportedly told police she felt no remorse over the attempted killing. The victim allegedly made it out alive by crawling out of the woods. A local resident found her and was rushed to the hospital where she is “fighting for her life.”

Weier and Geyser will be charged as adults and if found guilty, could face up to 60 years in prison.
